సర్ప సూక్తమ్

నమో అస్తు సర్వేభ్యోయే కేచ పృథివీమను | మీ అత్తరిక్షే యే దివి తేభ్యః సర్వేభ్యో నమః ॥

సర్పములకు నమస్కారము. ఈ పృథివియందు అంతరిక్షమునందు, స్వర్గమునందు ఏ సర్పములైతే కలవో వాటికి నమస్కారము.
Salutations to the Serpents, which are on the Earth, in the atmosphere, in the (Sky) haven, To those serpents homage.

2) యేsధో రోచనే దివో యేవా సూర్యస్య రష్మిషు
యేషామప్సు సదః కృతం తేభ్యః సర్వేభ్యో నమః |
భావము – అధోలోకములందు, స్వర్గమునందు, సూర్య కిరణములందు, నీటియందు నివాసమును కల్పించుకున్న ఏ సర్పములైతే ఉన్నాయో, వాటికి నమస్కారము.

To those serpents which are staying in Rasatala, in the heaven, in the
sun rays, in waters, for those serperts (my) salutations.

3) యా ఇషవో యాతుధానానాం
యేవా వనస్పతీగ్ం రను ||
యే వాsవటేషు శేరతే తేభ్యః సర్వేభ్యో నమః

భావము-
అసురుల చేత అస్త్రములుగా ప్రయోగింపబడునవి, వృక్ష సమూహాలలో నివసించునవి, నీటి బావులలో నిద్రించునవి అయిన ఏ సర్పములైతే ఉన్నాయో వాటికి నమస్కారము.

Those which are used as weapons in the hands of Asuras, living among the trees, that lie in the walls to those serpents honour.

4) ఇదగ్ం సర్పేభ్యో హవిరస్తు జుష్టమ్ | ఆశ్రేషా యేషామను యన్తి చేతః ।
యే అంతరిక్షం పృధివీం క్షియన్తి |
తే నస్సర్పాసో హవమాగమిష్ఠాః !
యే రోచనే సూర్యస్వాపి సర్పాః |
యేదివం దేవీమనుసన్చరన్తి |
యేషామాశ్రేషా అనుయన్తి కామమ్ | తేభ్యస్వర్పేభ్యో మధుమజ్జుహోమి||

భావము-

ఈ సర్పములకు ప్రీతికరమైన హవిస్సు అందునుగాక. ఆశ్రేషా నక్షత్రమును ఆశ్రయించిన మరియు సూర్యుని అధీనంలోని సర్పములు, స్వర్గలోక స్త్రీలను/దేవతలను అనుసరించునవి. ఆశ్రేషానక్షత్రముకు ఇష్టమైనది కలిగించునవి అయిన ఆ సర్పములు మా బుద్ధులను పాలించునుగాక / రక్షించును గాక. ఆ సర్పములకు మధువును (తేనెను) సమర్పించి హోమము చేయుచున్నాను.

May this oblation be agreeable to the Serpents, the Airesha of those, then follow the mind, those who rule the atmosphere. and this earth, those are coming the quickest to the oblation for us from the place of the Serpents,

Moreover those who are spended serpents of the Sun and accordingly those who go to the gooders in heaven. The Asresha of those follow desire. Possessed of honey. I make offerings to those Serpents.

5) నిఘృష్వెరసమాయుతైః|
కాలైర్హరిత్వమాపన్నైః||
ఇంద్రాయాహి సహస్రయుక్ |
అగ్నిర్విభ్రాష్టివసనః |
వాయుశ్వేతసికద్రుకః| సంవత్సరోవిఘావర్ణైః| నిత్యా స్తే sనుచరాస్తవ |
సుబ్రహ్మణ్యోగ్ం సుబ్రహ్మణ్యోగ్ం సుబ్రహ్మణ్యోగ్ం.

భావము-
ఓ సహస్ర నేత్రములు కల ఇంద్రా! (మేధాతిధి కొరకు మేక రూపమును పొందిన ఓ దేవా! ప్రసన్వస కూతురును వరించు ఓ దేవా !) కాలమునకు అధినులైన దేవతలతో, ప్రకాశవంతమైన వస్త్రములను ధరించిన అగ్ని దేవునితోనూ, తెల్లటి వాయువుతోనూ, సంవత్సర దేవునితోనూ నిరంతరం సన్నిహితుగా మెలిగే దేవతలతో కూడి నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమగుదువు గాక /నన్ను అనుగ్రహింతువు గాక. ఓం ఓం ఓం. oh Indra, one who is thousand eyed, oh, ruler of Devatas, who is along with effulgent and not united and have the form of horses (Time honored devatas), manifest before me, along with Agni with shining garments, Vaayu like white sand and Samvatsara deva, ever wonder closely with you. om Subrahmanya..(Brahman)
